Bio

Sarah Cecil is a singer and guitarist from Little Rock, Arkansas. She plays solo acoustic. She covers hit songs from several genres including country, pop, pop punk, and classic rock.

Sarah got her first guitar at the age of 6, but was inspired to begin performing after seeing Taylor Swift in concert in October of 2011. She played an open mic night at a local restaurant a few weeks later. Sarah had a natural stage presence and a passion for music. She played her school talent show and open mics to gain more stage experience. It wasn't long before she started playing festivals, fundraisers, and even booked her first gig.

In 2015, Sarah wanted to gain some experience playing with a band. She hooked up with a local band where she began playing a set with them at their gigs. She teamed up with her guitar instructor, David Mead, to play acoustic duo and form The Band 12 in 2016.

Sarah was the 2016 recipient of the Mallory Award at the Legends of Arkansas festival. This award is given to a child performer that inspires other young artists through live performance. She was also the winner of the 2015 Point 94.1's Talent Contest at the Arkansas State Fair.

In May of 2020, Sarah released her debut single, "Overdramatic," which has since garnered over 175,000 streams on streaming platforms such as Spotify.
